05FAQ

Common questions.

How fast do you actually arrive?

The 4-storefront structure is the trick: whichever shop is closest dispatches. Within Williamsburg, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, or Flatbush, average response is under 6 minutes. Outside those neighborhoods we route from the nearest of the 4 — typically 10–18 min in surrounding zones.

Do I have to pay if you can't open it?

You pay the service-call fee for showing up. If the door truly cannot be opened without destruction, we'll tell you on the phone before we leave the shop. We don't do bait-and-drill pricing.

Are you actually licensed?

Each storefront has its own NYC DCWP locksmith license (license #0830). We display the license number on every invoice and on each storefront door per NYC code.

Will you damage my door?

Standard residential cylinders are picked or bypassed without damage. We only drill as a last resort and only with explicit verbal go-ahead. If a tech ever drills without telling you why first, that's a complaint case for us — call dispatch directly.

What if I'm outside the 4 neighborhoods?

Call us. We service most of Brooklyn from these 4 hubs. The dispatcher will quote a realistic ETA on the phone before you commit.

Can I get a quote without giving my address?

Yes. We quote based on lock type and time of day. Address is for routing once you book.
